Our Family and Concerned Persons Programming is a free service facilitated by Marriage and Family Therapy staff and graduate students. All facilitators are supervised by licensed mental health professionals. There are many benefits of including loved ones in the treatment process, all of which contribute to better treatment outcomes.
Working with counselors at Park Avenue Center gives families an opportunity to open up the lines of communication regarding past hurts, current recovery issues, and future care plans. Participants will have a safe place to talk about how their relationships have been affected by the addiction and recovery process. Specific areas of focus can include communication, rebuilding trust, healthy boundaries, and more.
