Michelle Jones, LICSW, LADC

Michelle began working in the mental health field in 2001, obtained her Child Psychology degree in 2005, and earned her Master’s in Social Work at the University of Minnesota in 2010. She has worked for the past 9 years as a Social Worker and Mental Health Professional with North Memorial Health. Michelle considers her greatest strengths to be her strong knowledge base, ability to work with different populations, communication, and teaching. Her professional goals are to continue to strive toward a balance between providing therapy to clients, supervision and consultation to Social Work students, and to maintain a healthy work-life environment. Michelle was inspired to work in the field when a very close friend was diagnosed with a serious and persistent mental illness. She is passionate about learning, teaching, and giving back. She believes that providing supervision and training to students is an important obligation for social workers to give back to the field and community. In her free time she enjoys playing volleyball, spending time with family and friends, relaxing, and traveling.
