Alexa Anderson, BS, LSW
Alexa Anderson is a Social Worker in the Women’s Program. She attended Augsburg University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Social Work. Alexa interned with the Hennepin County Public Defender’s Office on the Dispositional Advising team where she worked to improve dispositional outcomes for juveniles and adults with chemical dependency, and/or SPMI. She also interned at the Dignity Center where she worked with individuals facing various challenges including chemical dependency, mental illness, and homelessness. Alexa spends her free time making music and working on a book with fellow social workers involving her research about corporal punishment in the United States’ school system. Alexa is passionate about making the resources that enable recovery available to all people and expanding the accessibility of methods of recovery including harm reduction and affordable treatment.
